Leo — wild!

Kindred,

In the spirit of full disclosure, you should know that I am a Leo too. Yes. So everything I say can and will be held against me in the court of astrology.

And of course, we Leos absolutely ROCK!

Visit any decent zoo and you can witness first hand why the cat has symbolized royalty, divinity and power since ancient times. Lions inspire a kind of chilling awe.

Did you know that the lion has no natural predators, save man? And, I guess, demi-god, because the lion who decided to battle Hercules is immortalized in the constellation Leo.

That was a crazy thing that happened. I remember it like it was yesterday. Hercules kicked the lion’s booty and proceeded to make a costume out of his head and hide — which speaks to the theatrical lineage of our sign. The message seems to be, when you’re defeated, grab a costume (or become one, as the case may be) and put on a show! Who knows, maybe your defeat will actually be your glory.*

I love us, Leo. We are creative and playful with an endless desire to delight and entertain others. I also love that I don’t have to hold back about this with you. You can take a compliment — I mean we almost expect them ;)

And yes, we do get full of ourselves from time to time — but mostly we’re givers, right? We would gladly give away everything, mainly because it would save us from having to organize it. Alas, the more we give the more we get. And the more boxes and closet fixtures we need… but now I’m just rambling.

What I really wanted to say kindred, is that I’m happy to share this sign, and these times, with you. May you ROCK ON FOREVER!
